Depending on weather severity, rides may not be operational during rain or extreme heat (metal seats). Wind and lighting are most likely to close rides from operating. Once “that” weather has subsided, the midway provider will determine how quickly or if the ride(s) are able to be re-opened. It the (severe) weather forces the closure of the Fair for the duration of that day’s operation, please note that there is NO refund on your admission ticket(s) or ride ticket(s), including wristbands. There are no rain checks issued for another day, so please check out the weather before you come. If the weather passes and the Fair resumes operation THAT DAY, you may get your hand stamped for re-entry to the Fair THAT SAME DAY. NO REFUNDS or readmission for another day will be given. The Chesterfield County Fair Association does NOT handle the midway rides and cannot provide refunds for them.
Only certified service animals are permitted on the Fairgrounds. Please be prepared to provide any/all necessary proof/paperwork.
We do not allow outside food/drink/coolers to be brought onto the Fairgrounds. Baby food/bottles are the exception; they will be subject to inspection prior to entering. If you want to bring a meal and keep it in a cooler in your car, you can get your hand stamped allowing you to go out to your car and then return to the Fairgrounds that same day once you’ve finished your picnic.
